For plant biologists interested in low temperature, please consider joining us in Florence this summer for a session on ‘Plant temperature responses: shaping development and enhancing survival?’ at the Society of Experimental Biology’s Annual Meeting <www.sebiology.org/events/event/seb-florence-2018/programme/plant-biology#temp> in Florence (3-6 July 2018).

CRYO2018, the 55th Annual Meeting of the Society for Cryobiology, will be held July 10-13 in Madrid,  at the Spanish National Research Council, one of the largest research institutes in Europe. The theme of the meeting is ‘Scientific Challenges of Cryobiology’.

The SLTB wants to wish Robert and Barney Swan (and team) huge congratulations on completing their South Pole Energy Challenge (SPEC) and becoming the first ever team to reach the South Pole using solely clean energy technologies. Robert Swan and his 2041 team (www.2041.com) donated all the Antarctic photos you see on the SLTB website.
